Description

Complete package of parking assistant including sensors and number plate lighting for PEUGEOT 307 CC cars
I do not guarantee the functionality of all sensors and lighting
For rear bumper

Part description

This PDC (parking assistant) harness is supplied as a complete set – it includes the wiring for the parking sensors as well as the number plate (number plate) lighting. It is a practical solution when repairing damaged wiring, non-functioning connectors, oxidized connections or when replacing part of the installation in the rear bumper.

The part is intended for Peugeot 307 CC. As this is a used part, please note the following disclaimer: functionality of all sensors and lighting not guaranteed. When choosing, the key is to compare the connectors and match the part number.

Installation recommendations

Generally/typically for the parking assist harness with sensors and license plate light, installation requires careful routing of the wiring and proper snapping of the connectors. The exact steps may vary depending on the car model and equipment.

1) Before assembly (checks of used part)

  • Compare part numbers 9644452780 / 6528Q1 with the old volume (if readable).
  • Check compliance: number of sensors/connectors, types and securing of connectors, cable length and branching.
  • Inspect the harness for broken, frayed, improperly repaired with insulating tape, or green corrosion in the connectors.
  • Check the condition of the bases and covers of the number plate light (contacts, locks, seals – if included).

2) Necessary tools and materials (in general)

  • Basic screwdriver set and gola/bit set
  • Tools for removing plastic upholstery/clips
  • Cleaner for electrical contacts, or a soft brush
  • Straps / textile tape for cabling (for fixation as from the factory)
  • Multimeter or tester (for rough checking of power supply/circuits)

3) Step-by-step assembly procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery (for wiring work and to minimize the risk of short circuit).
  2. Ensure access to the area of the rear bumper and to the wiring (depending on the model of the car, it may involve removing the covers/panelling; the procedure varies).
  3. Document the original condition: take pictures of the cable routing, the location of the handles and the connection of the connectors.
  4. Disconnect the connectors from the sensors and license plate lights and release the harness from the brackets/mounts.
  5. Remove the old harness so as not to damage the bushings, insulation and plastic connector locks.
  6. Before installing a used harness, clean the connectors with contact cleaner and let them air out.
  7. Install the new harness in the same route as the original, taking care not to stretch the wiring anywhere or pass over sharp edges.
  8. Snap the bundle into all the original mounts; possibly complete the fixation with tapes so that the bundle cannot vibrate.
  9. Connect the connectors of the parking sensors (check that the latch holds and the connector is not “half”).
  10. Connect the license plate light and check that the sockets/connectors are properly seated.
  11. Reassemble the removed covers/trims (and any bumper parts as needed).
  12. Connect the battery.
    • 4) Post-assembly checks and test drive/function verification

      • Verify the function of the license plate lighting (lights up stably, without interruptions when the wiring moves).
      • Verify the PDC function in practice (obstacle reaction); if the system is unreliable, check the connectors and wiring.
      • Visual check that the wiring is not rubbing anywhere and is securely attached.

      5) The most common assembly mistakes + how to avoid them

      • Poorly secured connectors → always check locking and tightening/clicking.
      • Cabling routing over sharp edges → use the original route and handles, if necessary add protection and fixation.
      • Harness pinching when installing plastic/trimming → before final assembly, check that the cables are not in the contact areas.
      • Underestimation of oxidation in the connectors → clean the contacts and check their condition before connecting.

Reasons why the part is damaged

      • Moisture and salt in the back of the car → oxidation of contacts, transition resistances, PDC failures and license plate lighting.
      • Mechanical damage to the bumper (tapping, disassembly/assembly) → broken wires, torn connectors, damaged handles.
      • Vibration and friction of the cabling against the edges/bodywork → penetration of the insulation and subsequent short-circuits or interruptions.
      • Unprofessional repairs (twisting of wires, inappropriate connectors, unprotected connections) → gradual deterioration of contact and defects that return.
