Frequently searched by part numbers 5129067, 525941, 8216NR and NFP, this module restores occupant protection on the front passenger side after deployment or when the SRS system indicates a fault. The visible cover is finished in HZR Gray (Astrakhan) to match original interior trim.

Technical Information

  • Manufacturer: Stellantis (Citroën / Peugeot)
  • Model: Citroën C8; Peugeot 807
  • Product Codes: 5129067, 8216NR
  • Additional Numbers: 525941, NFP

Function

The module is a passenger-side seat airbag designed to inflate rapidly in the event of a qualifying frontal or severe offset collision to reduce the risk of head and chest injuries. It works as part of the vehicle SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) together with seat belt restraints and airbag control electronics.

Installation Recommendations

  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait at least 10 minutes before beginning work to allow the SRS capacitors to discharge.
  • Move the seat to obtain clear access, carefully remove seat trim and covers to expose the airbag module fasteners and electrical connector.
  • Unbolt the airbag module from the seat frame and disconnect the airbag connector. Preserve all clips and location points to ensure correct refitment.
  • Fit the replacement module in the correct orientation, reconnect the electrical connector and secure fasteners to the original mounting points. Tighten fasteners to manufacturer torque specifications where available.
  • Reconnect the battery, start the vehicle and confirm that the SRS warning lamp extinguishes after the initial bulb check. Clear any stored SRS codes using a suitable diagnostic tool and verify system status.
  • Do Not Attempt To Reuse A Deployed Airbag. If The Module Or Wiring Shows Damage, Replace All Affected Components.

Why This Part Fails Most Often

  • Deployment In A Collision: Once deployed, the airbag must be replaced.
  • Electrical Or Connector Damage: Chafed wiring, broken pins or poor connections can generate SRS faults.
  • Corrosion Or Contamination: Liquid spills or moisture ingress can corrode connectors and compromise operation.
  • Mechanical Damage During Seat Repair Or Adjustment: Incorrect handling of seat components can damage the airbag housing or harness.
  • Control Unit Or Sensor Faults: Problems elsewhere in the SRS system can make the airbag appear faulty even if the module itself is intact.

No Scheduled Replacement Interval Applies—Replace The Airbag After Deployment Or When The Vehicle Indicates An SRS Fault. Proper installation and verification with diagnostic equipment is recommended to ensure system readiness.
