Electric central locking unit for the right front door of the Citroën Xsara. This PSA original (OE) part with OEM code 9136J2 provides mechanical latching combined with electric locking/unlocking and door state sensing. Common Faults And Function
The lock unit combines a mechanical latch with an integrated motor and microswitches. Typical failure symptoms include the right front door not locking/unlocking with the rest of the vehicle, requiring manual unlocking, audible clicking without rod movement, or incorrect door-open warning on the instrument panel due to a worn microswitch. Failures are usually caused by motor wear, plastic gear breakage, corrosion or seized mechanism. Replacing the lock usually resolves these issues.
Installation
To replace the unit, remove the inner door trim, disconnect the inner and outer handle rods and the central locking connector. The lock is mounted from the door front with Torx screws. After fitting, check the free movement of the rods, tighten the screws, and test central locking operation from inside and with the remote key. Before ordering, compare the shape of the lock body and the electrical connector with the original part and verify the OEM code 9136J2 for compatibility.
