Function And Typical Application

The alternator charges the vehicle battery and supplies electrical systems while the engine is running. With a nominal output of 180 amps, it is suitable for vehicles with higher electrical demands (heated seats, powerful audio, additional lighting, etc.). It is intended for cars equipped with 2.0 and 2.2 HDi diesel engines from the PSA group and is commonly found on mid-sized passenger cars and some commercial variants from Citroën and Peugeot.

Replacement Procedure

  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal before any work.
