Used OEM Xenon headlight ideal for mechanics and experienced DIYers who need a reliable replacement unit for Citroën C8 (and compatible platforms). This complete assembly includes the Xenon bulb and its control/ballast, providing a fast, cost-effective solution compared with sourcing individual components. The unit is sold as shown in the photos and is ready to install assuming standard vehicle connector compatibility.
Technical Information
- Manufacturer: Stellantis / Citroën
- Model: Citroën C8
- Product Codes: 1494319080, 89006372, 620616
- Other Numbers: NFP
Compatibility
Primarily for Citroën C8. May also fit related Stellantis models that share the same front light assembly (for example Peugeot 807 platform equivalents). Verify connector type and mounting points visually against your vehicle before installation.
Installation Recommendations
- Disconnect the vehicle battery before starting any work to avoid electrical shorts.
- Remove trim and fasteners securing the bumper or inner wheel arch to access the headlamp as required for your model.
- Unplug all electrical connectors (ballast/power, leveling motor, indicator) and remove mounting bolts. Support the lamp during removal to prevent damage.
- Handle the Xenon bulb and ballast carefully: do not touch the bulb glass with bare hands and avoid exposing connectors to moisture.
- Fit the assembly, secure mounting bolts, reconnect connectors and check that headlamp leveling and washers (if present) are connected correctly.
- After installation, switch on lights and perform headlamp aim and function check; adjust alignment to manufacturer specifications.
- If the vehicle has adaptive leveling or advanced headlamp electronics, follow manufacturer procedures for initialization where applicable.
Why This Part Most Often Fails
Xenon headlamps commonly fail due to bulb wear (end of life after several thousand hours), ballast/control unit failure from heat or electrical stress, or moisture ingress causing corrosion of connectors. Mechanical damage from impacts or degraded plastic mounting tabs caused by age and vibration is also frequent. In this particular unit one mounting tab is cracked but it does not affect secure installation.
Notes For Workshop And DIY
- Recommended For: Professional fitters and experienced DIYers familiar with high-voltage Xenon systems.
- Safety: Ballast contains high-voltage components—ensure power is isolated before handling.
- Testing: Verify low and high beam function, leveling operation and headlamp washers (if fitted) after reassembly.
