Installation Recommendations
- Prepare basic tools: Torx/screwdrivers, trim tools and a ratchet set.
- Carefully remove the interior door trim/triangular cover to access the mirror mounting bolts and electrical connector. Use a trim tool to avoid breaking clips.
- Disconnect the mirror electrical connector before removing the mirror. If unsure, disconnect the negative battery terminal as a safety precaution.
- Remove mounting bolts, take off the old mirror and transfer any required seals or covers to the new unit.
- Mount the new mirror, tighten bolts to the correct torque, reconnect the electrical connector and reassemble the trim.
- Test electric adjustment, heating and folding functions before finishing. Verify smooth folding and that the heating element warms when activated.
Why This Part Fails Most Often
- Impact Damage: Collisions or knocks are the most common cause—broken housing, cracked glass or damaged folding gears.
- Water Ingress And Corrosion: Moisture entering the connector or actuator can corrode contacts and cause intermittent or permanent failure of motors or heating elements.
- Wear Of Electric Motors And Gears: Frequent adjustment and folding can wear the small motors and reduction gears over time.
- Wiring And Connector Damage: Door flexing and pinching can damage wires, causing loss of functions.
Maintenance Tips
- Avoid forcing the mirror when frozen; use the heated function or warm the area first to prevent gear damage.
- Regularly check and clean the connector and rubber gaiter to prevent water ingress.
- Inspect mirror mounting and door trim after impacts to catch hidden damage early.

Multiple color options may be available. The mirror is supplied as a complete unit with electric adjustment, heating and power-folding. Verify connector type (7-pin 5+2) and left-hand orientation before installation.
